A day in the life as a Merchandise Handler II...
- Inspect all local delivery items for product quality, consistency, characteristics, damage, dye lot and finish
- Work and coordinate with furniture shop technicians for any product repairs and touch ups needed prior to delivery
- Communicate with delivery department Lead on all issues related to product inspections and delivery status of workload on a daily basis
- Assist merchandise handlers with the organization and verification of all items for local deliveries
- Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
- Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
- Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
- Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
