How you'll make an impact in this role

• Collecthigh-quality blood samples from patients andprocessspecimens with precision to ensure timely and accurate test results for clinical teams.
• Maintaina sterile and safe environment by meticulously cleaning, sterilizing equipment, and strictly adhering to all infection control and safety procedures.
• Managepatient order accuracy by collecting registration data, verifying necessary financial forms, and efficiently resolving test order discrepancies.
• Coordinatethe secure handling, tracking, and transport of all specimens to maintain a seamless, efficient workflow between the collection site and the laboratory.
• Travel or float to Ascension Neenah clinic for Sunday rotations 1 in 24.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
• Phlebotomy Tech preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.
• Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians preferred. All issuing authorities accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
