Job Title: Lab Assistant/ phlebotomist

Job Description

As a Lab Assistant, you will coordinate patient care and manage workflow efficiently. You will perform phlebotomy, process specimens for external laboratories, and ensure accurate recording of test results in the Electronic Health Record system. Additionally, you will manage laboratory supplies and maintain the cleanliness of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care and manage workflow.
  • Perform phlebotomy and process specimens for external laboratories.
  • Review and process orders from the Electronic Health Record for laboratory testing.
  • Record In-House test results in the Electronic Health Record system.
  • Inventory and order laboratory supplies, and review laboratory invoices for accounts payable.
  • Clean and restock laboratory equipment and supplies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CA CPT license
  • Must be bilingual with Spanish

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a clinic located within a large medical group in Santa Barbara. The role offers opportunities for internal growth and access to a top-notch training program.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
