OB/GYN | Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment, with no weekend or night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, including documenting medical history accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, height, and weight.
  • Maintain temperature logs and ensure compliance with QA processes and OSHA policies.
  • Assist physicians by scribing doctors' notes.
  • Work closely with physicians in the procedure room, particularly during endoscopies.
  • Support the transition to a new electronic medical records system.

Essential Skills

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience working in an women's health setting
  • Proficiency with electronic health records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in an OB/GYN clinic is ideal.
  • Surgical experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation and charting.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday to Friday, with shifts typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, occasionally extending until 5 PM. You will work between two offices located in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
