Mechanical Drafter

Our client, an industry leader in aerospace, defense, and government solutions, is seeking a Drafter to join their team. As a Drafter, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting custom engineering projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong technical skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Drafter

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: Up to $32/hour

Shift: 1st shift Mon-Fri

What's the Job?

• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather system and structural requirements
• Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using CAD software
• Generate Bills of Materials for manufacturing and assembly
• Design and model mechanical system components for test and measurement solutions
• Support project objectives through travel as needed (up to 25%) domestically and internationally

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical drafting
• Proficiency with CREO (3-5 years experience)
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and processes
• Experience with 2D & 3D design tools such as CREO, Pro/E, or SolidWorks
