Materials Manager

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within manufacturing

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in unionized manufacturing environments
• Background supporting Automotive OEM or Tier 1 customer requirements and systems

The successful candidate will lead all plant-level materials management, production planning, inventory control, and logistics functions. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow, optimizing inventory and working capital, and delivering best-in-class on-time delivery performance. The Materials Manager drives continuous improvement across supply chain operations, strengthens systems and processes, and builds a high-performing team capable of supporting a fast-paced, customer-driven manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all materials management functions, including planning, inventory control, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Ensure accurate and efficient material flow to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Drive inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes while improving working capital performance.
• Manage supplier performance and inbound material flow to ensure consistent on-time delivery and supply continuity.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations, including ERP utilization and process standardization.
• Build and lead a high-performing materials team while collaborating cross-functionally to support plant and customer objectives.
