Material Coordinator


Overview:

As a Material Coordinator (Inventory Coordinator), you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our MRO warehouse. You’ll leverage your knowledge of inventory management, technical specifications, and supply chain processes to ensure optimal inventory levels, drive efficiency, and support end users across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage MRO inventory levels by regularly analyzing, re-establishing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Execute Order Recommendation processes, handle reservation/backorder needs, and set up new items for inventory.
  • Perform regular replenishment of MRO inventory and oversee surplus/obsolete materials, initiating investment recovery processes as needed.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely and complete deliveries; use SAP and other PC reporting tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Support end users with tailored reports and data, utilizing cataloguing systems and understanding unique report requirements.
  • Conduct quality control and technical identification of new and existing MRO materials, acting as a technical problem solver.
  • Lead and participate in standardization efforts, the “share the spare” process, and apply global MRO inventory best practices.
  • Engage in MRO marshaling work processes and contribute to supply chain improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal departments, providing guidance and support in inventory functions.
  • Participate in systems support activities such as program changes, testing, and functional improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in inventory, materials, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of MRO inventory work processes, cataloguing, and technical/engineering specifications.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MSMS, and other reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and collaborate across multiple departments.
