JOB SUMMARY


The Marketing Specialist, Research Analyst provides strategic, analytical and project management leadership for Sales, Products, and Marketing initiatives at the Kentucky Lottery Corporation (KLC). This role assists in developing actionable business intelligence to develop product and marketing strategies for our corporate account partners.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Anticipates information and insight needs for the Sales, Products and Marketing Departments and KLC Senior Leadership.


  • Serves as main point of contact for internal sales data requests. Provides monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc corporate account reporting and sales analysis for out-of-stocks, YoY projections, and promotional conception. Coordinates with Promotions Department and Corporate Account marketing functions as necessary.


  • Assists KLC team members in sourcing and summarizing information needed to make informed decisions on design, promotion, and sale of lottery products.


  • Assists Manager of Digital Research in the execution and reporting of consumer data and information.


  • Manages ongoing ROI analysis of KLC retailer promotions in partnership with the Promotions Department.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field; related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in marketing or research preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills required. Experience with organizational software (Monday.com/Asana/MS Planner, etc.) a plus.
  • Working knowledge of PC and exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft BI a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics used in business settings.
  • Experience and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative sampling techniques.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge or experience in lottery industry a plus.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Salary Range: $54,156-$67,643 (Midpoint). Our goal is to pay a competitive market salary for new employees, which is typically up to the midpoint of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills and internal pay equity.
