Position Overview

The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) is seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Marketing and Events Manager to join our fast-paced communications and events team. This role is perfect for someone who loves to see a project through from the first draft of a speaker agenda to the final attendee survey at a statewide conference. The ideal candidate will have digital, design, and social media skills and familiarity with email marketing and web content management. We are looking for someone who is organized, creative, flexible, and able to manage multiple assignments and duties. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Communications and works across departments to ensure the NHA’s voice is clear, consistent, and impactful.


Key Responsibilities

Event Management & Marketing

  • Lead the marketing strategy and logistical coordination for NHA’s signature programs, webinars, and conferences.
  • Manage onsite and offsite logistics and speaker communications.
  • Develop promotional timelines to maximize member attendance and engagement.

Affiliate Benefits Management

  • Serve as the primary Communications Team point of contact for NHA’s affiliate program, ensuring members utilize the full suite of available resources.

Writing & Content Strategy

  • Copywriting to draft compelling content for newsletters, social media posts, and marketing emails.
  • Editing to act as a final line of defense for quality control, ensuring all NHA publications are polished, professional, accurate, and follow NHA Brand Guidelines.

Design & Digital Media

  • Utilize basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) to create social media graphics, flyers, and digital assets.
  • Coordination of digital media channels, including social media scheduling and website updates, to maintain a steady and professional digital presence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degrees in Journalism, Political Science, History, Communications, or Marketing preferred. (Equivalent professional experience will be considered)
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in email marketing software, social media management tools, and basic graphic design.
  • A curious mind and a strong work ethic. We want someone with ideas. Someone who asks "why" and "how can we do this better?"

The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) is a statewide trade association representing Nebraska's hospitals and health systems since 1927.

The hospital and health system field is the only sector of Nebraska’s economy that touches every citizen and business of Nebraska. Salary:

Commensurate with experience.


Physical Requirements:

Walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods. Must have or obtain a valid driver’s license in the state of Nebraska.


Working Conditions:

Hybrid. The position requires 2-3 days in the office in addition to occasional travel to meetings and association events, and may require time away from home outside normal working hours.
