Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Location: Minnetonka, MN – 55345

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)


Shift 1: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (10-hour shifts, 4 days/week + possible Friday OT)

Shift 2: 2:30 PM – 1:30 AM (10-hour shifts, 4 days/week + possible Friday OT)


Position Overview

Supports daily manufacturing operations while contributing to safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. This role involves working closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth production operations in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. The position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, coachability, and a growth-oriented mindset, with a focus on developing engineering-level capabilities over time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, assembly, packaging, preparation operations, line clearance, and basic equipment maintenance following approved documentation and QSR requirements.
  • Support engineering and maintenance teams with troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
  • Complete accurate production and maintenance documentation in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and support CAPA and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance technicians, quality teams, and operators to resolve production issues and implement improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, A3, OEE, and standard work activities.
  • Assist in new equipment installation, setup, and validation activities.
  • Maintain awareness of quality expectations, potential defects, and compliance requirements.
  • Work on the production floor (approximately 60% of the time) following cleanroom PPE and gowning requirements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in an engineering-focused role.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering technician, or medical device environment.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing (Medical Device preferred).
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing systems, documentation, inventory control, and scheduling.
  • Basic technical skills such as following work instructions, using measurement tools, and troubleshooting.
  • CAPA or investigation experience (nice to have).
