Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Estimator located in Bessemer, AL. The Manufacturing Estimator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints and technical drawings, determining material and labor costs, sourcing suppliers, and preparing bids and proposals. The Estimator will also work closely with project managers and engineers to help optimize production processes for cost efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Experience in creating cost estimates, analyzing blueprints, and interpreting technical documents
  • Proficiency in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, and managing procurement processes
  • Strong understanding of logistics, manufacturing workflows, and quality assurance requirements
  • Skilled in using CAD/CAM software and other industry-relevant tools for technical drafting and analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering and project management teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and demonstrated analytical capability
  • 3+ years operating in a precision manufacturing or job shop environment preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial estimating is a plus
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO certifications and compliance is advantageous
