Expand your professional portfolio as a Manufacturing Engineer with our client in Graniteville, SC. We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing/Production Engineer to support daily assembly operations in a fast-paced engine production environment.


This role is highly floor-focused, to maintain production flow, resolve technical issues, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, and a track record of owning projects and implementing corrective actions. Success in this role requires a proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a collaborative shop-floor setting and is passionate about continuous improvement. This is a contract position.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations, including maintenance and functional groups.
  2. Analyze product designs to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods.
  3. Specify tools, equipment, and processes for part/assembly production or evaluate existing processes.
  4. Direct the design and construction of tools and equipment or recommend process improvements.
  5. Develop new tools, equipment, and processes for manufacturing.
  6. Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to implement new systems and manage existing ones.
  7. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes and products.
  8. Write and implement work instructions, processes, and procedures for production and department use.
  9. Analyze product variations and implement process capability improvements.
  10. Develop and implement manufacturing control strategies and productivity improvements.
  11. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of our client’s Code of Conduct.
  12. Perform special projects as required.


Required Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering, with 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience; or 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience without a degree.
  2. Strong analytical ability where problems are complex.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Strong knowledge of design of manufacturing processes.
  6. Strong knowledge of materials and methods of manufacture.
  7. Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  8. Strong organization, planning and follow-up skills.
  9. Good project management skills
  10. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  11. Ability to work overtime as required to support production or project work.
  12. Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
  13. Proficient with CAD and modeling software


Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Knowledge of our client’s products, policies, and procedures
  2. Experience with SAP
  3. 3D CAD experience with PTC Creo Parametric


Work Conditions:

  • This position has compressed work schedule to align with production (Monday through Thursday).

Finally, the employee will be frequently requested to perform tasks in environmental conditions where there are unpleasant odors and gases. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous.

  • Finally, an employee will be regularly requested to grasp and manipulate items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.
