Your Impact


The primary purpose of this role is to develop actionable quarterly promotional plans using GTM calendar and promo and pricing frameworks, that are then cascaded to the relevant category and promotional planning teams. This position is responsible for ensuring Lowe's top planned promotions for DIY and Pro are appropriately captured, aggregated, summarized and communicated to campaign teams and other marketing stakeholders. This includes responsibility for closing identified gaps in the plan and driving the process to ensure appropriate communication between category and promo planning, merchants, and other cross-functional partners. This role is charged with continuously monitoring the competitive promotional landscape and recommending pivots / adjustments to the plan based on findings. The Manager will run a small team and will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to help them achieve their best. To be successful, this role will build, sustain and influence leaders within the marketing organization and will communicate regular status updates.


What You Will Do

  • Manage 1-3 Sr. Analysts who work closely with marketing campaign teams to build highly effective promotional plans for prioritized events and customer cohorts.

  • Be responsible for creating and delivering top promo / doorbuster recommendations in service of major planning milestones with category and promo planning and merchandising teams.

  • Examine and streamline promo planning and measurement work flows and processes to increase efficiency in partnership with marketing, merchandising, ops, tech and finance teams.

  • Ensure that promotional plans are implemented, measured, and monitored effectively and efficiently through proprietary and third-party tools, analysis, and reporting.

  • Leverage promo data, category data and competitive data to identify actionable insights that inform go to market plans and pivots. Responsible for event promo gap analysis that are shared with category and promo planning teams to work back with merchandising.

  • Gather competitive promo intelligence; publishes weekly insights/findings to Sr. Manager.

  • Partner with finance to analyze, monitor and report out on the impact of promotional strategies against goals and objectives both quarterly and annually.

  • Identify opportunities for new/different - promo innovation. Works with Sr. Manager and Director to prioritize opportunities for test and learn.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

  • 5 Years Marketing, Merchandising, or related experience

  • 3 Years Brand or integrated marketing leadership experience for consumer brands or retailer

  • 3 Years Experience running a P&L and/or working alongside P&L owners

  • 3 Years Working cross-functionally


Preferred Skills/Education

  • 3 Years Leading brand or category work at a retailer or CPG company
