I'm currently partnering with a highly respected Boston-based law firm on a search for a Manager of Attorney Development to join their growing Attorney Talent team.


This is a unique opportunity for an HR, Attorney Development, Employee Relations, or Talent Management professional who enjoys partnering with leadership, coaching high-performing professionals, driving employee development initiatives, and helping shape workplace culture.

The Manager of Attorney Development will serve as a trusted partner to attorneys and firm leadership, helping to guide performance management processes, leadership development programs, coaching initiatives, employee relations matters, and professional growth opportunities across the organization.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Partner with attorneys, practice group leaders, and firm leadership on performance management and development initiatives

• Design, facilitate, and deliver training programs, workshops, and coaching sessions for attorneys at various stages of their careers

• Support attorney evaluation, promotion, and integration processes

• Collaborate on employee relations matters, workplace challenges, and performance improvement efforts

• Help drive innovative talent development strategies that support engagement, retention, and career progression

• Develop and implement programs focused on leadership development and attorney success

• Analyze trends and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Serve as a resource and advisor during organizational and professional transitions

• Build strong relationships across practice groups and administrative departments while fostering a collaborative and positive culture


What They're Looking For:

• 5-7+ years of Human Resources, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Attorney Development, or related experience

• Previous law firm experience is required

• Strong coaching, consulting, and relationship-building abilities

• Experience supporting performance management and professional development programs

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility at all levels of an organization

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for helping people grow and succeed
