Manager of Accounting & Finance

A well-established, family-owned manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for quality and operational excellence is seeking a Manager of Accounting & Finance to join its leadership team.
This is a highly visible role offering full ownership of the finance function, blending hands-on accounting leadership with strategic financial planning. You’ll partner directly with ownership and senior leadership to drive business performance, improve profitability, and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, cash management, and purchasing
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and management reports
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
- Establish and enhance accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- Analyze margins, costs, and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Partner with leadership on pricing, investments, and growth initiatives
- Oversee relationships with banks, auditors, and external financial partners
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
- Mentor and lead a small accounting/finance team
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Strong background in hands-on accounting and financial planning & analysis
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or similar operational environments preferred
- Proven ability to manage cash flow and support business decision-making
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a team
- CPA/CMA is a plus
Compensation:
$120,000 – $140,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
