Immediately Hiring: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional who will ensure the seamless operation of our equipment and support our production team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely equipment change-overs as required by the production schedule.
  • Assist in maintaining an established preventive maintenance schedule on assigned equipment.
  • Participate in equipment rebuilding activities, reviewing and performing necessary tasks.
  • Make timely repairs as directed by the engineering department.
  • Assist operators with equipment setups to ensure proper operations.
  • Requisition parts, components, supplies, and equipment for maintenance purposes.
  • Provide training to plant personnel in the control of equipment and processes.
  • Comply with OSHA and SDS standards.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing plant operations.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, pneumatics, mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated timely troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime due to breakdowns.
  • 2+ years of related experience in packing machines or production machines.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled chemical manufacturing plant with 12-hour shifts. You are guaranteed at least 48 hours per week. Openings are available on the second shift (Monday-Thursday, 6pm-6am), with potential training on the first shift depending on experience (6am-6pm). Occasionally, there may be mandatory overtime on Fridays, typically voluntary. Safety shoes and a flame-resistant uniform will be provided, and you must wear 100% cotton clothing under the uniform. Training will include a 4-8 week period and an 8-hour safety course.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
