Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Shift Information
This position includes a training period on first shift for up to 90 days, followed by a transition to a regular third shift schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
(Including, but not limited to)
- Build and wire electrical panels, install power drops, and connect motors
- Install, maintain, and service electronic and electrical equipment
- Load, troubleshoot, and modify PLC ladder logic, including systems using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and DeviceNet
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Fanuc robotic systems
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery and facility systems
- Identify equipment malfunctions, diagnose root causes, and implement effective repairs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
Education, Experience & Skills
- Multi-disciplinary technical skillset including robotics, machine repair, and electrical systems Certification, license, or associate degree required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to interpret reports and analyze technical and operational data
- Forklift and/or scissor lift experience preferred - Must be able to obtain required licenses within three (3) business days of hire
Physical & Work Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Work independently, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively with team members
- Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Bend, reach, and work at levels below the waist and above the shoulders
- Use hands and fingers to handle parts, tools, and machine controls
- Use vision to read labels, gauges, and inventory documentation
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
