Position: Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)
Location: Ovid, Michigan
Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 14 consecutive working days followed by 4 days off
Compensation: $36/hr + ~16 hours OT/week
Role Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for a 3rd-shift role focused on ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of production equipment and facilities. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards
- Perform maintenance and repair of production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair plant production systems
- Install and maintain sanitary pumps and valves
- Maintain and troubleshoot 24V DC control circuits
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs as required
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and chemical safety procedures
- Complete assigned projects within timelines
- Collaborate with maintenance and plant leadership to meet operational goals
- Support safe and quality production processes
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings for troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting digital and analog instrumentation and control valves
- Knowledge of 24V DC control circuits and electrical drawings
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and basic control logic understanding
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
