Maintenance Team Lead - Mechanical/Electrical

Our client, a global leader in Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management is seeking a LEAD M&E Technician. This position is part of a multiple client 4 MegaWatt-90K sq ft Data Center with a staff of 8 and growing. This full time role will work onsite in Lynnwood, WA, pays a set rate of $52.10/hr and seeks a candidate to work normal M-F 7am-4pm hours. This role contains an ample vacation plan and a strong benefit package.

The key to this role is a take charge attitude backed with past critical facilities experience and team leadership. Atop these skills candidate must have utilization of Electrical/Mechanical skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. The incumbent will:

  • Lead all efforts around 7 direct reports the daily performance of preventative and corrective maintenance work.
  • Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Oversee some facets of the IT portion of the Data Center and lead staff towards this effort.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Make sure third parties and vendors follow compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Verify subcontractor performance meets all requirements.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to complex HVAC-related client problems.
  • Review meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities to ensure accurate information is documented.
  • Provide Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.

Qualifications

  • ELECTRICAL - 4+ years experience functioning as an Electrician, or performing electrical work, troubleshooting, fixing and monitoring electrical/facilities equipment
  • MECHANICAL – 3+ years working in a mechanical/HVAC environment troubleshooting, fixing and monitoring mechanical/facilities equipment
  • DATA CENTER/CRITICAL FACILITY – 2+ years working in a critical facilities or Data Center environment working with Data Center equipment (Chiller/GEN/UPS/STS etc.)
  • INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – 1+ years working in the IT portion of a Data Center completing rack and stack cabling and connectivity,
  • LEAD – 1+ years experience leading a team of 3 or more M&E employees/contractors.
  • Experience and understanding of “Central Plant” environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools for documentation purposes
