Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Trenton, NJ) – Direct Placement Opportunity in Manufacturing
Location: Trenton, NJ
Pay Rate: $29.26/hr – $34.25/hr
Shifts Available:
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
4th Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:
Journeyman Card
10+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Relevant technical schooling, certification, or formal training
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery including motors, engines, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and production systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose equipment issues using precision measuring and diagnostic tools
- Dismantle, repair, and rebuild mechanical components using hand and power tools
- Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
- Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical systems and equipment
- Fabricate and repair components using machine shop equipment such as:
- Lathes
- Milling machines
- Drill presses
- Welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking
- Communicate equipment issues and repair solutions clearly to team members and supervisors
- Support training and development of junior mechanics and apprentices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong background in industrial maintenance or machine repair
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Blueprint reading and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Experience with machine shop tools and equipment
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting expertise
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass a medical examination, including X-ray
- Ability to perform physically demanding industrial work
