Maintenance Mechanic- Up to $37.82/hr DOE!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing client to start immediately up to $37.82/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production equipment, and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and control system issues using diagrams, manuals, testing instruments, and hands-on diagnostics.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective short-term and long-term repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment as needed.
- Fabricate parts and components to support equipment repairs and improve cost efficiency.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of overhead cranes, including monthly inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Work with Automax, shark IO cards, PLC systems, and related components to diagnose, repair, and improve equipment performance.
- Replace racks, cards, and power supplies to restore production lines to working order.
- Operate equipment as needed to troubleshoot issues without an operator present.
- Provide technical guidance over the phone when necessary to help resolve maintenance issues.
- Maintain inventories of parts, supplies, and maintenance materials by monitoring stock and placing orders as needed.
- Help reduce downtime by sharing preventive maintenance practices and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Document work completed, communicate equipment issues clearly, and coordinate with production, supervision, and maintenance team members.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with 5S standards.
- Contribute to team goals by supporting repairs, maintenance activities, and process improvements.
Location: East Chicago, IN
Schedule/Shift Details: 3rd shift
7pm – 7am, 4 days on and 4 days off schedule.
*Training to be done on 1st shift: 7am – 3 / 7pm.
Qualifications:
- Education or training in Automation, HVAC, Fluid Power, Basic Electricity, Industrial Wiring, Electrical Circuits, PLCs, and Technical Math.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including AC and DC motors and controls.
- Experience with instrumentation, industrial maintenance, and troubleshooting complex equipment.
- Background in heavy manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and improve mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of VFDs, parameters, codes, and programming related to equipment and processes.
- Familiarity with industrial terminology and maintenance practices.
- Ability to fabricate parts and equipment components when needed.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as rules, calipers, and micrometers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through unfamiliar technical issues.
- Team-oriented and self-motivated.
- Must pass the NMP maintenance exam.
- Strong organizational skills, planning ability, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for working with operations, supervision, suppliers, and maintenance staff.
