Manager – Maintenance and Facilities
Wolf Lake, IL Reports To: GM – WOIL Operations

Position Purpose
Responsible for planning, leading, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department in support of two product lines at the Wolf Lake, IL site.
Core Accountabilities
- Demonstrate and lead a commitment to achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and uphold corporate values across the organization.
- Direct maintenance activities to maximize plant operating efficiency.
- Manage operations within approved controllable cost budgets; participate in annual budgeting and planning processes.
- Contribute to capital expenditure planning and development of annual project submissions.
- Maintain strong employee relations by clearly communicating goals, expectations, and policies.
- Facilitate personnel actions including scheduling, recognition, performance management, and discipline.
- Conduct regular communication meetings and daily inspections of plant processes and equipment.
- Ensure all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; take corrective action when needed.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to support repairs, modifications, and improvements.
- Develop and communicate special operating instructions as required.
- Support manufacturing with engineering and project initiatives that improve infrastructure, maintenance, and reliability.
- Drive equipment and process improvements aligned with safety standards and evolving operational needs.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline required.
Experience
- 3–5 years of management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years combined experience in one or more of the following industries: energetic materials, chemical refining, or technical manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing and process systems.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance systems and manufacturing processes.
- Experience interacting with regulatory compliance agencies.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams effectively.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across shifts and departments.
- Must meet requirements for “Possessor of Explosives” as defined by the ATF.
- Working knowledge of OSHA PSM requirements.
- Ability to identify process issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
