Maintenance Manager
Location: Brookville, IN area
Compensation: $130,000–$180,000

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for a growing manufacturing operation in the Brookville, Indiana area. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for both hands-on technical problem-solving and the continuous improvement of maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and team performance.
This position will play a key role in plant leadership, with significant investment planned in equipment and operational improvements over the coming years. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can troubleshoot complex equipment issues while also building and improving systems, processes, and people within the maintenance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance team in a manufacturing environment
- Respond to and troubleshoot equipment downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to production
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and overall plant efficiency
- Oversee and improve preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and operating costs
- Execute and support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and process improvements
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with purchasing to ensure availability of critical components
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians on best practices, troubleshooting, and process discipline
- Partner with production and plant leadership to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Establish and track key maintenance KPIs and performance metrics
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture
Qualifications
- 8–25+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or instrumentation systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve industrial equipment
- Leadership or supervisory experience within maintenance or operations
- Engineering degree preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
