Configure slitting machines based on specific work orders, adjusting blades, tension, and speed for various film types. Oversee the continuous run of materials, making real-time adjustments to ensure straight cuts and proper winding. Conduct frequent visual and dimensional checks to ensure the film meets strict tolerance requirements. Load and unload large rolls of plastic film onto the machinery safely using appropriate hoist or lift equipment. Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues or material inconsistencies during the conversion process. Maintain accurate production logs, recording material usage, scrap rates, and completed quantities. Previous experience operating slitting machines is highly preferred. We also value experience in paper, textile, or film conversion. Forklift experience preferred. Strong mechanical ability and the capacity to learn complex machinery and precision measurements. Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure/ruler with high accuracy. Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift and move/maneuver rolls of material as needed. Proven track record of attendance and punctuality for the 6:00am start time.
