POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UV Print Machine Operator to support fabrication operations in Faribault, MN. This role is critical to producing high-quality printed components using UV-curable inks on various substrates. The UV Print Machine Operator will be responsible for machine setup, material handling, print quality verification, and maintaining production standards while adhering to safety and operational procedures.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Set up and prepare UV printing machines by loading inks, calibrating print heads, and adjusting machine settings
  • Load and align substrates (metal, plastic, glass, or other materials) for accurate printing
  • Operate UV print equipment to apply inks according to customer specifications
  • Program automated machinery using computer-based instructions
  • Inspect printed materials for color accuracy, resolution, and overall quality
  • Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes to detect malfunctions and make adjustments
  • Perform routine maintenance including cleaning print heads and replacing consumables
  • Manage color profiles to ensure consistent color reproduction
  • Organize and schedule print jobs to meet production deadlines
  • Record production data, scrap reports, machine settings, and maintenance activities in Epicor
  • Monitor material inventory to ensure continuous printer operation
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time
  • Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and design teams to meet customer requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 3 months of experience operating a UV printer in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to safely operate machinery and visually inspect finished products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical education or vocational training in printing, graphic arts, or related field
  • Proficiency operating UV print machines and related software
  • Knowledge of color management and print calibration techniques
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • Basic computer skills with accurate data entry experience
  • Ability to perform simple shop math and interpret process sheets and SOPs
  • Understanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly
