Overview:


FS2 Group, LLC, a privately owned fire protection product manufacturing and distribution company, is rapidly growing and looking to expand its team to include a Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator in Appleton, WI. Our primary objective is to streamline the procurement process for top‑notch components serving the dispersed fire sprinkler system contractor market, enhancing both efficiency and accessibility in acquiring premium parts.


The Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of products from customer purchase order to final delivery, ensuring the right product arrives at the right place at the right time for FS2. This position will work with leaders across departments to support the rapid growth of FS2 by playing an integral role in coordinating logistics with U.S. and Asian vendors, freight forwarders and logistics providers, U.S. ground transportation providers, and customer warehouse receiving teams.

Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator Responsibilities:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating purchase orders based on customer demand, inventory levels, and revenue opportunities.
  • Ensuring timely order placement with vendors in the U.S. and Asia.
  • Coordinating end-to-end logistics plans and delivery schedules.
  • Acting as the key connector between vendors, logistics partners, and customers.
  • Proactively engaging with customers to understand demand cycles and drive timely ordering.
  • Establishing regular routines for pricing updates, demand reviews, and vendor engagement.
  • Working across U.S. and Asian time zones, as required.
  • Identifying and tracking alternative or missed sourcing opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining performance scorecard trackers, including:
  • Supply growth versus executive targets
  • Captured versus missed sourcing opportunities
  • Vendor and 3PL scorecards
  • Performing ad hoc analysis as needed.


Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator Qualifications:


The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and knowledge:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in supply chain coordination, procurement, logistics, or operations.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded, not solely administrative.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple parties without formal authority and operate autonomously.
  • Strong communication skills across cultures and time zones.
  • Import/export knowledge.
  • Comfort operating in a newly created role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain; international experience is a plus
  • Distribution or product manufacturing experience required; fire protection products experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience managing multiple orders, customers, vendors, and logistics providers simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively self-manage project deadlines
  • Understanding of various e-commerce, marketing, digital advertising, and related technology platforms to support online sales
