The Logistics / Broadcast Clerk reports and monitors Customer’s requirements for in-sequence production and Production scheduling to ensure on time delivery.
Be aware that this position works Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors requirements for an in-sequence production from customer to the company.
- Loads parts utilizing automated systems.
- Monitors shipment of sequenced parts to ensure the adequate stock is on hand and at customer site on time.
- Monitors traffic status before the load departure and consistently checks traffic updates.
- Monitors and ensures the loads arrive on time at customer site.
- Schedules the shipment and manages drivers’ rotation.
- Communicates with drivers and resident inspectors regarding any issue.
- Enters daily shipping log.
- Processes product delivery confirmations in inventory system.
- Reviews receiving sequencing system for missing scans.
- Troubleshoots issues with production data and shop floor systems.
- Maintains preventative maintenance records for pallets and trailers records/reports as requested.
- Support EHS objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:
- High school Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 2+ years’ experience in shipping / logistics preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office work environment (Primary)
- Plant work environment with fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
