About the Role
We are a growing LDP (Landed Duty Paid) apparel company seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Logistics Coordinator to manage the end-to-end process of inbound international shipments. This role is critical to ensuring our supply chain operates smoothly, accurately, and on time — from origin to final receipt. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with global partners, and is comfortable working within BlueCherry ERP to manage and maintain shipment data. This is an on-site/in-person role in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
Import Coordination
- Manage all inbound import shipments from overseas vendors, including coordination with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL warehouses
- Track shipments from booking through delivery, proactively identifying and resolving delays or discrepancies
- Review documentation for accuracy and report discrepancies
BlueCherry ERP Data Management
- Input, maintain, and update all relevant shipment and purchase order data within BlueCherry ERP in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconcile PO details against shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, ASNs) and ensure system records reflect actual receipts
- Assist with reporting and data integrity within BlueCherry to support planning, allocation, and finance teams
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external partners including vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers — maintaining professional, clear, and timely communication at all times
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Merchandising, Production, Accounting, and Warehouse Operations to ensure alignment on shipment status, ETAs, and exceptions
- Escalate issues proactively and communicate resolutions with appropriate urgency and clarity
Organization & Time Management
- Manage a high volume of concurrent shipments while maintaining accuracy across all documentation and system entries
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines driven by ship windows, in-store dates, and customer commitments
- Maintain organized digital records of all shipping documents, correspondence, and customs entries
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in import logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations; apparel or consumer goods industry strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with BlueCherry ERP or comparable apparel ERP systems preferred
- Solid understanding of international shipping terms (Incoterms), LDP processes, and U.S. Customs procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy in data entry, document review, and cost reconciliation is non-negotiable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across time zones and with diverse external partners
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with EDI, workflows, and vendor compliance requirements
- Background in fast-paced wholesale or direct-to-retail apparel environments

Salary Range
$64,350 – $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience
