Commercial Loan Quality Control (QC) Administrator

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Loan QC Administrator to support the quality control function within our lending operations. This role is responsible for reviewing commercial loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of commercial lending processes, and the ability to identify discrepancies and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-closing quality control reviews of commercial loan files, including C&I, CRE, and SBA loans
  • Validate loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to credit approvals and underwriting guidelines
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, title, insurance, and closing documents for consistency and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC, FDIC, SBA where applicable)
  • Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies, exceptions, and potential risk issues
  • Track and report QC findings, trends, and remediation efforts to management
  • Partner with underwriting, processing, closing, and servicing teams to resolve identified issues
  • Assist in developing and enhancing QC procedures, checklists, and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of QC reviews and ensure proper documentation retention

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lending, loan operations, underwriting, or quality control
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan products including Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and C&I
  • Familiarity with loan documentation, credit analysis, and closing processes
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within a banking or financial services environment
