The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) protects the Wells Fargo brand, shareholder value, and the communities we serve by ensuring all real estate valuations are reliable. We do this by setting industry leading policies, guidelines, and practices for real estate valuations that are risk-based and analytics supported.

As the Valuation Specialist 2 with Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) Quality Control (QC) team, you will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Review valuation content to ensure that primary risk factors associated with the collateral have been addressed and the appraisal meets standards for accuracy and completeness
  • May perform desk review of original mortgage information and post-fund reviews prior to delivery to lending partners
  • Work with service providers to clarify quality concerns identified during the review process, reconciling any discrepancies
  • Provide consultation and guidance to loan officers, underwriters and senior management for properties in assigned geographic areas
  • May provide training and guidance to lower level appraisers/reviewers
  • Responsible for performing quality reviews of residential valuations; ensuring adherence to regulatory and Wells Fargo compliance requirements

Location: This role will be 100% remote, however, must sit in the Wells Fargo Footprint to qualify for this position, with strong internet access.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of valuation experience
  • Certified Appraiser

  • Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • High end residential valuation experience
  • Residential appraisal experience
  • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Residential review experience
  • Appraisal experience must be related to residential valuations
  • PRIMARY APPRAISAL EXPERIENCE TO BE RESIDENTIAL NOT Commercial
  • Regional or National Review experience outside their geographic competency location
  • Corporate review experience
  • Ability to complete a side by side analysis of multiple valuations completed on all residential property types including but not limited to single family, multi-family, condominium, etc.; reconciling any discrepancies and performing additional market research to validate and/or dispute information presented in the valuation
  • Ability to research and analyze market data on a National level and provide meaningful conclusions
  • Solves complex appraisal issues using recognized appraisal methodology
  • Proficient in analyzing data using computer technology
  • Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
  • High end residential valuation experience
  • 3 years+ experience performing valuation reviews in the CMS platform

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $60,400 Mid: $85,000
