Litigation Secretary

A national law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Secretary to join their team in the Silicon Valley. This role supports a Business Litigation practice handling complex matters. Candidates must have substantive civil litigation experience to be considered.


Job Duties:

  • Manage e-filing across state, federal, and appellate courts
  • Track court deadlines, case updates, and regulatory filings through docketing systems
  • Prepare client-facing documents such as engagement letters, correspondence, and reports
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, and related logistics (travel, vendors, scheduling)
  • Handle filings and communications with government agencies and regulatory bodies
  • Support billing functions, including expense tracking, invoice preparation, and reconciliation
  • Assist with administrative operations such as scheduling, correspondence, file intake, and conflict checks
  • Provide general team support, including research, meeting coordination, and overflow assistance as needed


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a legal support role within civil litigation
  • Demonstrated tenure and stability
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal and communication skills
  • Comfortable using legal technology, case management systems and legal platforms
