We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. Ideal candidates are knowledgeable about procedural and court rules in State and Federal Court, and how to research such rules when uncertain. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
• Maintain accurate client files and manage attorney calendars
• Handle time entries, revise prebills, manage vendor invoices
• Assist with opening new client and matter engagements
• Anticipate attorney and team needs, proactively offering support to help achieve client service excellence
• Provide backup support for other team members as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent litigation legal secretary/assistant experience in a law firm environment
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in docketing
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with e-filing procedures and requirements for Federal, State and local courts
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
• Strong proficiency in document formatting
• Expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
• Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities
• Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
• Professional, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining confidentiality
