Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 DOE

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable Denver law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical negligence and general liability defense and thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
  • Prepare, proof, and e-file pleadings, discovery, and correspondence in state and federal courts
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings, and monitor all deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
  • Draft routine legal documents and correspondence; assist with case preparation and trial support
  • Process mail, billing requests, and reimbursements while prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant supporting litigation attorneys, preferably in medical malpractice or insurance defense
  • Strong understanding of state and federal court filing procedures (Colorado experience required; New Mexico a plus)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with billing and document management systems preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Typing speed of 65+ WPM required
  • Post-secondary education or coursework in legal studies preferred
