We’re seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our legal team! If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, are a natural self‑starter, and excel in litigation support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the proven ability to manage complex, high-volume case files in a deadline-driven setting. Experience in debt collection or creditors’ rights is highly preferred.
Litigation & Case Management
- Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and related legal documents.
- Prepare and maintain detailed case chronologies and timelines.
- Organize and manage discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
Contract & Legal Operations Support
- Assist with drafting and reviewing standard contracts (NDAs, service agreements, etc.).
- Maintain tracking systems for deadlines, renewals, and compliance milestones.
- Support legal research and document preparation.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all legal files are organized and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Monitor and calendar hearings, court dates, and key deadlines.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of federal/state laws impacting creditors’ rights (FDCPA, FCRA, etc.).
- Track multi-state regulatory changes and provide updates to attorneys and leadership.
Client & Team Coordination
- Communicate with clients and external stakeholders regarding case status.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support legal processes.
- Provide quality control for legal deliverables.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved).
- Experience: 4+ years of paralegal experience with strong litigation and small-claims focus.
- Industry Knowledge: Debt collection or creditors’ rights experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Relativity, Case Map, Westlaw, and similar legal software.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, and state-specific creditors’ rights laws across all 50 states.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding time management and attention to detail.
- Bonus: Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency.
