Our client, a boutique (spin-off) law firm based in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is immediately hiring a high-level Litigation Paralegal for a direct-hire, permanent position with benefits. The firm handles a focused docket involving catastrophic injury, civil rights, institutional sexual abuse, medical malpractice, and other high-stakes litigation. The paralegal will serve as the go-to legal support for two partners and will be trusted to help move cases forward from intake and discovery through filings, records management, and case preparation.
Responsibilities
• Support partners in catastrophic injury, civil rights, institutional sexual abuse, medical malpractice, and other complex litigation matters
• Assist with all phases of litigation, including intake, case setup, discovery, court filings, records management, and case preparation
• Draft subpoenas and assist with medical records requests, lien information, and damages-related documentation
• Prepare interrogatories for answer and assist with written discovery requests and responses
• Support consolidated discovery and organize case materials in complex litigation matters
• File documents in Pennsylvania state and federal courts
• Communicate with partners, of counsel, clients, medical providers, and other litigation contacts
• Maintain organized electronic files and help keep cases moving efficiently
Qualifications
• 5-10+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience in a law firm
• Strong litigation background from either the defense or plaintiff side
• Experience with personal injury, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, sexual abuse, mass tort, insurance defense, or other complex litigation preferred
• Hands-on litigation skills, including subpoenas, discovery, court filings, records management, and case organization
• Pennsylvania litigation experience preferred
• Federal court filing experience preferred
• Self-starter who can work directly with partners and take ownership of assignments
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and written communication skills
• Comfortable managing detailed case information in a lower-volume, high-stakes litigation environment
This is a direct-hire, permanent position with full benefits, a base salary of $75,000-$85,000+, and a hybrid schedule from the beginning.
