A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Atlanta office supporting a busy insurance litigation practice. ? Salary: $85,000 – $100,000
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. This individual will have experience handling general liability litigation, including reviewing medical records and preparing case summaries.
This role requires the ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Flexibility, including overtime as needed, is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation and trial preparation, including trial attendance
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and authorizations
- Manage and support the discovery process, including:
- Analyzing medical records and preparing summaries
- Identifying additional providers
- Coordinating document production and organization
- Drafting privilege logs and case-related memoranda
- Coordinate depositions, witnesses, and case logistics
- Conduct factual research and investigations
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and third parties
- Utilize research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- Support e-discovery efforts, including handling electronically stored information (ESI)
- Maintain and organize case files using litigation support systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience with general liability litigation and medical record analysis required
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required
- Proficiency with PACER, Relativity, Adobe Acrobat, Trial Director, and case management systems preferred
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
