About the Role
The Alvarez Firm is hiring for a full-time in-office position that primarily focuses on providing support to our Litigation attorneys. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and will work closely with our Litigation team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a strong moral compass and strengths in organization, written and verbal communication, and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment. The candidate should have a sense of ownership over the quality of their work, with a strong appreciation for accuracy on legal documents and client confidentiality.
Assists primarily with administrative tasks within the Litigation Department. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Drafting and mailing legal documents.
Tracking court dates.
Maintaining client files.
Processing incoming paperwork.
Maintaining and updating Litigation checklists.
Setting up court appearances.
Service Projects and back up on all Litigation filings (litigation/probate/conservatorship).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Prior experience in an administrative role or law firm preferred but not required.
Familiarity with professional phone etiquette and email communication.
The ability to be self-sufficient in managing a diverse set of tasks efficiently without direct oversight or prompting.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills: the ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Accuracy and attention to detail, especially with respect to legal documents.
Strong spelling and grammar and a clear command of the English language.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in an organized manner.
A strong respect for client confidentiality.
Proficiency with standard programs like Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. is strongly preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Pay: $25.00-30.00 per hour dependent on experience.
