Litigation Associate

Litigation Associate – Richmond, Virginia

ProspectBlue is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our boutique law firm client’s growing Richmond office as an Associate.

Prior experience with products liability defense, toxic torts/environmental litigation, and/or commercial litigation are highly desired. Well qualified candidates will have excellent writing and analytical skills, and a desire to take on meaningful responsibility in a fast-paced practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and/or trials
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Attorneys on litigation strategy

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience
• Deposition and courtroom experience highly preferred, but not required
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
