Litigation Associate Attorney

Collinsworth Specht Calkins & Giampaoli is hiring a Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience. The role is in-office to start, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule; construction defect, insurance defense, GL/PI/premises, is preferred.

Role & Qualifications:

• Active California Bar license in good standing; 5+ years civil litigation experience.
• Experience with insurance defense, GL, construction defect, personal injury, and/or premises liability matters.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including strategy, evaluation, and client/carrier reporting.
• Handle discovery (propound/respond), meet-and-confer, and related motion practice.
• Draft strong legal writing (pleadings, law and motion, dispositive motions) and manage deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions; appear at hearings/mediations; support trial preparation and trial as needed.
• Professional, responsive communicator; uses legal tech (including AI where appropriate) with sound judgment, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Details: Full-time | $120,000–$200,000 DOE | Mon–Fri | Billable-hours bonus + discretionary annual bonus | San Diego or Orange County (in-office to start, then hybrid)
