Licensing Analyst

Location: Brentwood, TN (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Pay: $30-$32/hour

Contract Length: Through September 2026 with potential for extension

Position Overview

A large national retail organization is seeking a Licensing Analyst to support business licensing, regulatory compliance, and permit administration activities across multiple locations. This role will partner with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure licensing requirements are met accurately and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, operations, administration, business support, or licensing who enjoys working in a detail-oriented, process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate business license renewals and regulatory filings through third-party administrators.
  • Track, maintain, and verify licensing documentation and compliance records.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and compliance-related administrative processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments, external agencies, and third-party vendors.
  • Research federal, state, and local licensing requirements and regulations.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding licensing status, documentation requests, and compliance matters.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and reporting activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve licensing and compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate, compliance, licensing, operations, accounting, or administrative role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
