We are looking for an enthusiastic Letter of Credit Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be at the heart of operations, managing the entire lifecycle of trade finance transactions. What You'll Do

As a Letter of Credit Specialist, you will play an instrumental role in our operations by taking primary responsibility for the accurate and efficient execution of all Letter of Credit activities. Your key areas of focus will include:

  • Operational Excellence: Excel in the timely and accurate execution of all import Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, and their amendments.
  • Confirmation Expertise: Expertly advise on and confirm export Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, and their amendments.
  • Payment Management: Ensure diligent and accurate processing of all payments related to Letters of Credit.
  • Control & Compliance: Perform robust controls for transaction processing, including accurate compliance checks and securing necessary Middle/Front Office approvals.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Execute meticulous cash and other account reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to policies.
  • Fee Management: Manage client invoicing and the precise application of received fees, ensuring revenue optimization.
  • Project Contribution: Actively contribute to the "TradeGO" migration project, ensuring operational readiness and smooth transitions.
  • Strategic Client Relations: Provide expert support and guidance to clients on Letter of Credit activities, fostering strong, lasting relationships.
  • Dynamic Environment Performance: Consistently achieve accurate results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, often under strict deadlines, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Apply and ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including anti-boycott regulations, OFAC, AML, and red flag indicators.
  • Transaction Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of all USD and foreign currency transactions with precision.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Middle Office, Front Office, Compliance, Finance, and other key stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction flows.
  • Professional Communication: Review and respond to all email inquiries promptly and professionally, serving as a key point of contact for Letter of Credit-related matters.


Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Letter of Credit operations, demonstrating expertise across a wide range of transactional complexities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong knowledge of Loan IQ and SWIFT.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to clearly articulate complex information.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant industry standards and publications, such as Uniform Customs & Practices, ICC Publication 600, International Standby Practices 1998 (ISP98) ICC Pub 590, Uniform Rules for Bank-to-Bank Reimbursements ICC Pub. 525, and Uniform Rules for Collections ICC Pub 522.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, is proactive, highly motivated, and consistently exhibits professional conduct and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

The salary range for this position will be between $120,000 - 145,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
