Legal Receptionist / Office Administrator

Meyer & Bowden, PLLC, a respected family law firm in Stafford, Virginia, is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Legal Receptionist / Office Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for clients and help support the daily operations of our office.


This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, and comfortable working in a professional legal environment. The right candidate will be confident handling client communication, managing administrative tasks, and helping keep the office running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
  • Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner
  • Schedule appointments and assist with calendar coordination
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Organize and maintain files and office records
  • Assist with billing and accounts receivable tasks
  • Process payments and help track client balances
  • Provide general administrative support to the office as needed


Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and professionalism
  • Dependable and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a small office setting
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficient with general office and computer-based administrative tasks


Preferred Experience

We are especially interested in candidates who have previous law firm experience or a solid understanding of working in a legal or other professional office environment. Candidates with paralegal experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $30,000 to $50,000, depending on experience
  • Additional salary potential for candidates with paralegal experience
  • 12 days PTO per year
