The Position

Best & Sharp is a civil litigation defense firm in Tulsa, OK and we are searching for a full-time Legal (Administrative) Assistant to join our incredible team. We are looking for a professional who values teamwork, believes that details matter, produces excellent work product and wants to be part of a firm rooted in integrity and excellent client service. This is a full-time, on-site role. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.


Responsibilities include:

  • Perform administrative duties including creating and preparing correspondence and pleadings
  • Proof, verify, and edit documents for accuracy, clarity, and formatting consistency
  • Monitor and review email, mail, correspondence, pleadings, and scheduling orders from the court; calculate due dates, and ensure all dates are accurately calendared
  • Review task list and calendar daily to ensure deadlines are met
  • Organize workload to get time-sensitive documents out in a timely manner
  • Accurately file correspondence, records, and other documents in document management system
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Coordinate multi-document filings in Federal, Circuit and State courts, including E-filings
  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial
  • Schedule appointments and travel, depositions, and obtain court reporters and videographers
  • Assist with preparing trial notebooks and summarizing depositions


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 to 5+ years as a Legal Assistant in a law firm
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic team environment
  • Familiarity with legal software and Microsoft office tools
  • Associate's degree preferred
