Job Description:


The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to legal staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of day-to-day responsibilities. This role includes preparing legal documents, assisting with contract-related tasks, and managing various types of correspondence and filings. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a broader team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting, editing, and preparing contracts and related legal documents.

• Review and process lien filings and other required legal documentation.

• Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials as needed.

• Organize and maintain legal files, records, and databases.

• Support attorneys and legal team members with research, documentation, and administrative tasks.

• Prioritize and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

• Communicate professionally with internal teams and external parties.

• Uphold confidentiality and maintain discretion when handling sensitive information.



Qualifications:


Required:

• College degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal environment.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage competing deadlines.

• Strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.

• Effective problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.


Preferred:

• Experience supporting contract preparation or corporate transactional work.

• Familiarity with legal terminology, legal processes, and document management practices.
