Key Responsibilities

  • Substantive Drafting: Prepare basic legal forms and foundational documents for attorney review.
  • Litigation Calendaring: Track and calendar critical deadlines across state, federal, appellate, and arbitration matters, as well as internal hearings.
  • Client Advocacy: Serve as a vital point of contact, corresponding directly with clients, class members, and court personnel.
  • Case Collaboration: Assist handling attorneys in the dynamic management of active litigation caseloads from case initiation through settlement.
  • Court Filings: Facilitate accurate and timely electronic and physical filings in state, federal, and appellate courts.
  • Legal Operations: Actively tackle new operational challenges and take on increased responsibility as capability is demonstrated.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of legal assistant or litigation support experience is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, backed by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional Core: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Mission Fit: A genuine passion for employment law, workers' rights, and client advocacy.
  • Preferred Assets: Previous internship experience and familiarity with class action litigation or court filing systems are a plus.
