Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support our legal team with a wide range of administrative, document management, and compliance-related tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Electronically file state and federal documents (e-filing) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Serve as DocuSign administrator, managing document execution workflows
  • Prepare and process expense reports
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for attorneys and staff
  • Redline and proof legal documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Draft engagement letters and other routine legal correspondence
  • Create and manage ShareFile folders and document sharing processes
  • Convert documents to Word format and clean/edit formatting as needed
  • Save and organize documents within iManage (or similar document management systems)
  • Assist with billing processes, including time entry and invoice support
  • Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and track important deadlines
  • Prepare and update tables of contents for legal documents
  • File documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State and other regulatory authorities
  • Publish legal notices in accordance with applicable requirements


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Familiarity with legal document management systems (e.g., iManage) is a plus
  • Experience with e-filing systems and legal administrative procedures preferred
