LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring on behalf of a respected Am Law-ranked law firm for a full-time, direct-hire Legal Administrative Assistant role based in downtown Charleston's Upper Peninsula (29403). This position is 100% onsite and offers the opportunity to join a small, growing, and close-knit office where teamwork, reliability, and long-term commitment are genuinely valued.


This role supports busy US attorneys and paralegals in practices that may include commercial litigation, business litigation, transactional law, and energy-related matters. The firm is seeking an experienced legal administrative professional who is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a collaborative law firm environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys in a fast-paced law firm setting
  • Manage heavy calendaring, scheduling, deadline tracking, and tickler systems
  • Coordinate meetings, multi-party calls, conference rooms, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with time entry tracking, expense reimbursements, and invoice preparation
  • Support conflict checks, file opening and closing, and document organization
  • Handle email and physical mail triage, correspondence preparation, and client communications with discretion
  • Assist with general office operations, front desk coordination, and overflow support
  • Provide light administrative or marketing coordination support as needed
  • Contribute with a team-first mindset - no task too big, no task too small


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent law firm experience supporting US attorneys (required)
  • Experience supporting attorneys in commercial litigation, business litigation, transactional, and/or energy-related practices
  • Stable tenure in recent roles, demonstrating follow-through, adaptability, and commitment
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to type 65+ WPM with high accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable learning and navigating law firm technology systems
  • Experience with document, practice, or expense management systems is helpful but not required
  • Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and service-driven
