Location: Downtown Chicago

Duration: 6 months with potential to extend

Compensation: $45 - $50/hour


Our client, a national non-profit public health association, seeks a Learning Experience Designer to join their team! This associate will work with the team to design, develop, and implement educational resources for health care professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in instructional and learning design, thorough experience in content QA and accessibility review, and some light graphic design experience. Candidates must submit portfolio prior to the interview process.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate the design, development, and implementation of education and educational resources for physicians and health care professionals.
  • Provide expertise in the analysis, design and development of learning solutions. Facilitate processes to analyze content, target audience, and learner environment to identify appropriate learning strategies to establish inclusion, develop positive attitudes, promote meaningful learning, and further competence in accordance with existing research in adult learning principles and practices.
  • Lead multiple projects concurrently according to priority and project plans. Balance being a self-motivated, strong individual with working with others on project team.
  • Design and develop assessment tools that effectively evaluate learning objectives, gaps, and needs,
  • Implement and publish educational activities in accordance with organizational standards by collaborating with multiple team members in our publishing workflow, including uploading files and adjusting fields as needed.
  • Work with subject matter experts, external provider partners and collaborators, and internal team to develop and deliver high-quality education.
  • May include the completion of other tasks and projects as assigned.


PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional or learning experience design, educational psychology, educational technology, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional or learning experience design, eLearning development, curriculum development, or related field required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the effective application of adult learning approaches, models, and technologies to improve education for continuing professional development.
  • Experience with Aeries and/or Absorb LMS preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated superior writing skills developing curricula, learning objectives and competency requirements, core content and job aids, evaluation/assessment tools, and related learning materials.
  • Demonstrated skills using standard authoring and graphic design communication tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Vyond, etc.).
  • Experience with quality assurance and accessibility testing (e.g., WCAG, using screen reader, checking color contrast, writing alternative text, presenting content in multiple ways, etc.) is highly desired.
  • Experience in developing education for physicians or CME experience is highly desired.
