Lead Superintendent
Location: New York
Compensation: Up to $270,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Package

With a robust pipeline of secured work, the firm is expanding its senior field leadership team and is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial interior, renovation, and fit-out projects.
This role is perfect for a seasoned construction professional with a track record of managing complex projects, leading field teams, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all on-site operations for commercial interiors, renovation, and fit-out projects.
- Manage site safety, construction activities, quality control, logistics, housekeeping, and daily reporting.
- Mentor and guide Assistant Superintendents and other field staff.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee detailed project schedules, including two-week look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards are met.
- Ensure all work aligns with design documents, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with Project Management to maintain accurate schedules and proactively manage project risks.
- Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams.
- Oversee the RFI process, including tracking, resolution, and closeout.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, especially in occupied or sensitive environments.
- Supervise punch list completion and support project closeout and warranty processes.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with extensive Superintendent experience on large-scale interior and fit-out projects.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects in fast-paced or occupied environments.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and fast-track schedules.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction drawings and specifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NYC DOB codes, safety regulations, and OSHA compliance.
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (minimum).
- 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certification preferred.
- Experience with MEP and base build work is a plus.
- High-rise or structural system experience is advantageous.
