As a Lead Field Connection Specialist you will work under the direction of the Supervisor to ensure the efficient operation and performance of the Field Installation and Service Team. This position is responsible for performing and overseeing installation, inspection, maintenance, and service activities, as well as supporting operational needs as they arise. This position also ensures the safe and efficient use, operation, and maintenance of all tools, vehicles, and equipment, while enforcing adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards among Field Connection Specialists I–III. The position also involves troubleshooting, repairing, and testing cable-related services and equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.


What You’ll Do

  • Support daily field operations and act as a technical and leadership resource for assigned technicians
  • Conduct field inspections, site visits, and investigations to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to operational standards
  • Lead high-priority installations, escalated service orders, and VIP customer projects, ensuring precision, quality, and exceptional customer experience
  • Conduct a minimum of two quality checks per technician each week (one live and one post-installation), adjusting frequency as directed by leadership
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and documented feedback to Field Connection Specialists, as directed by the Supervisor or Senior Manager
  • Oversee IUB (Iowa Utilities Board) violations and ensure all assigned tasks are completed promptly, accurately and efficiently
  • Oversee and ensure timely completion of all cosmetic repairs and disconnects.
  • Provide follow-up and reporting as required

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent GED or work experience
  • At least 4 years of progressive field installation/service experience, with clear progression in roles, responsibilities, and technical expertise
  • Must have a valid state issued Driver’s License
  • Candidate must live within the market or surrounding area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Jones NCTI Certifications
  • Telecommunications/Utility industry
